17 Feb Insulin Savings with Medicare
Good news for diabetics! In January, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) implemented its Part D Senior Savings Model (Model) to make insulin more affordable. Medicare eligible individuals have access to many types of insulin and should pay no more than a $35 copay for a 30-day supply!
This savings is only available if individuals are enrolled in a participating Medicare standalone Part D prescription drug plan or Medicare Advantage Plan. Be aware that not all Medicare plans chose to participate in the Model and covered insulins may differ among participating Part D plans!
